Jax Dancing with the Stars

Saturday, June 06, 2020

7:30 pm - Munnerlyn Center
Episcopal School of Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus partners with A Social Affair Dance Studio for this exciting event. Local celebrity dancers are partnered with professional ballroom instructors to learn to dance, compete for the mirror ball trophy and to be named Jacksonville’s favorite dancer. Much like ABC’s Dancing with the Stars event, this stage show extravaganza is always a crowd-pleaser.

Show also includes performances by all of the JCC performance choirs.

Tickets will be on sale in January 2020, starting at $35. Website: www.JaxDWTS.com.

TICKET NOTE: The JCC is committed to providing quality cultural experiences for audience members of all ages, although young children might find it difficult to sit quietly throughout the entire performance. Therefore, this concert is not recommended for children under 5 years old. Regardless of age, all children must have a ticket. Please inform Ticket Office personnel or Usher if you are attending with a child so that they can assist you in making the best seating selection. No strollers are permitted.

“Through music and your leadership, these children learn to perform in different languages while experiencing the diversity of an array of world cultures. The understanding they gain will serve them well as they enter adulthood.”

R. Randall Onstead, former President/CEO of Winn-Dixie

“It is gratifying the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus program covers so much of what is not available to children in the Duval Public Schools. The children who have an opportunity to participate in your Chorus are very fortunate to have this outstanding musical training available to them. The entire community benefits from your talent and that of the children.”

Dr. Frances B. Kinne, Chancellor Emeritus and Past President, Jacksonville University

“JCC truly embodies some of the best qualities of team sports: camaraderie, discipline, patience, persistence, and positive mentoring.”

Wali Gomes, JCC Parent

“The Chorus expands your musical horizons and helps you grow as a person. You are surrounded with other young people who have something in common…their love of music. I have learned that music does, indeed, bring people and cultures together. The music we sing brings people hope for a better future of understanding and cooperation.”

Jasmine, 16, Touring and Concert Choirs

“Being a part of the JCC has not only allowed Christian to experience the fun, excitement and pleasure of singing with friends, it has also helped him to develop a sense of confidence that comes from life skills of hard work and perseverance.”

Elaine Bourne, JCC Parent
