Reports to: Program Manager

Hours: Part-time. One or more days a week, from the following:

  • Monday, 5:00-8:30pm

  • Tuesday, 5:00-8:30pm

  • Thursday, 5:00-8:30pm

  • Saturday, 8:30-11:30am

MISSION: 

The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus provides exceptional music education for children of diverse backgrounds creating impactful choral performances.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

A Choral Fellow is a vocal musician who serves as a vocal model for members of the JCC and facilitates sectional work during rehearsals.

The primary mission of this Choral Fellow program includes enhancing the learning process at JCC while forming a connection with local colleges and universities.  By forming this connection, we are creating an experience to introduce college-aged musicians to the work of a professional children’s chorus. One of the objectives for this program is to mentor future JCC staff.

Other duties include facilitating rehearsals through venue setup/breakdown as well as checking singers in and out of rehearsal. Choral Fellows may also coach soloists or serve as a soloist.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

The successful applicant should be enrolled in a college/university music program and have a strong background in vocal music. Applicants should love working with young singers and be able to work collaboratively with artistic and administrative staff.

COMPENSATION:

Starting at $15 per hour
