Intermezzo Choir
The Intermezzo Choir is open to all children in grades 4th - 10th who love to sing!
The Intermezzo Choir is open to boys and girls in grades 4-12 who perform at an intermediate level or are advancing Training Choir members. Singers receive instruction focusing on healthy vocal production and the development of music reading skills through unison, two-part, and even three-part literature. Aural skills are strengthened through the use of ear training, solfege, and sight-reading exercises.
The choir works with music chosen for singers of this age which may contain challenges like a foreign language – it’s also fun! Singers perform several times during the year, including major seasonal concerts.
Auditions are held by appointment through the summer and fall for the following school year. Auditions are completely free and encouraged for any child who loves to sing! Full and partial scholarships are available on a financial need basis.
