This new role will serve as an Associate Conductor to President and Artistic Director, Darren Dailey, assisting with conducting performances and rehearsals. As Talent Scout, Jen will assist in recruiting new singers to the organization and partner with schools in the surrounding counties to offer in-school programming to local schools. This appointment marks an exciting milestone as The JCC embarks on its 30th season of providing music education to Jacksonville children.
Darren Dailey shares his excitement for the growth of the organization and the addition of a new team member,
“We are thrilled to welcome Jen to the JCC family,” said Darren Dailey. “Her role will streamline our efforts to make choral music education accessible to the community and neighboring schools. In a time when funding for the arts is declining, we remain committed to ensuring that children receive high-quality music education, and Jen will be integral in achieving this mission.”
The Jacksonville Children’s Chorus provides exceptional music education for children of diverse backgrounds creating impactful choral performances. From 16 singers in 1995, The JCC has provided music education to thousands of children 18 months through 18 years old. With over 1⁄3 of their singers on either a full or partial scholarship, The JCC works to ensure every child who desires to participate may do so regardless of a family’s ability to afford tuition.
